The perfect Outdoor Wedding Venue on Vancouver Island

Tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Vancouver Island, Bird’s Eye Cove Farm is a little slice of rustic paradise—and it was the perfect setting for one of the most relaxed, joy-filled weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.

This venue truly has it all. With rolling hills, wide open skies, and charming barns full of character, it’s made for couples who want a laid-back yet beautiful place to say “I do.” From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy—easygoing, filled with love, and surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature.

Getting ready on site is one of the many perks of Bird’s Eye Cove. Everything flows so seamlessly, giving couples the chance to fully soak in their day without feeling rushed. The anticipation in the getting-ready suite was full of happy nerves, laughter, and those sweet, quiet moments that only come once.

The ceremony took place with the green rolling hill views that quite literally take your breath away. As the couple exchanged vows, the breeze gently moved through the trees and the light danced across the landscape. The farm setting felt both intimate and expansive—like the world paused just for them.

As the day moved into the reception inside the rustic barn, the celebration picked up with energy and charm. The lighting, wooden beams, and thoughtfully styled decor brought the space to life. It was warm, welcoming, and the kind of place that invites guests to kick off their shoes and dance the night away.

One of my favorite features of this venue is the indoor swing in a separate barn—yes, a swing! It added such a playful, romantic element to the photo session and gave us a fun way to capture the couple in their most natural, joyful state. And of course, as the sun began to set, we took advantage of the farm’s sprawling fields for some truly epic  portraits. 

This wedding was everything I love about what I do—gorgeous scenery, genuine love, laughter, and a venue that supports a relaxed, unforgettable experience. Bird’s Eye Cove Farm is a dream location for couples wanting that mix of rustic charm, effortless beauty, and wide-open joy.
